At Tomorrow's Veterinary Care, we are committed to providing the highest quality care for your furry family member and to keep you up to date on the latest information. Unfortunately, like any veterinary practice, we often see responsible pet owners get hit with major unexpected costs. After researching the options, we have decided to recommend pet insurance to provide financial peace of mind for our clients. (Please note: we do not receive any compensation for these recommendations.)
Some companies that we would recommend are Trupanion, Pet Plan, and Pet's Best. Please see below for links to their websites.
Here are some question to consider when comparing pet insurance companies:
-Will my premiums increase due to my pet getting older?
-Do I have options for my deductible amount?
-When does the deductible renew, if at all?
-What is the benefit schedule?
-Are there discounts I qualify for?
-What is covered by the policy? (i.e. - illness/injury, diagnostics, medications, etc.)
-When I have a claim, how much of the bill does the policy cover? (i.e. - 75%, 80%, etc.)
-Are there any exclusions of the policy? (i.e. - congenital defects, hip dysplasia, pre-existing conditions, etc.)
-Are there any policy payout limits? (i.e. - no limit, annual limits, per incident limit, etc.)
Since routine care can easily be planned and budgeted for, we feel that a better use of the money you put into pet insurance would be to cover unexpected accidents and illness.
We hope that your pet will live a long life, free of accidents or illness that require major medical treatment. But because we know pets get sick and injured, we recommend that you seriously consider reviewing the benefits of pet insurance.
